John Kellman, president of the Globe Network, 49, died of a sudden heart attack June 8. Burial services followed in Chicago.
Part of the Kellman family which has been in the glass industry since the 1880s, he was the oldest son and one of six children of Mildred and the late Morrie Kellman. He was the brother of Michael Kellman, who is senior vice president of Globe Network, and Cheri Kellman, who has long been active in the laminated glass industry. He was president of the family-owned Globe Amerada Glass Co. retail glass operation which was sold to Glass America recently (with the exception of the location in Minnesota). The Globe Network was purchased by the Boyd Group earlier this year.
New Sika VP Named
Sika Corp., Madison Heights, Mich., has named William L. Pringle senior vice president of its industry division. In this position, he is responsible for assisting with the successful commercialization of new products and the existing product line management for all the division’s market segments served throughout the U.S.A.
Prior to this, Pringle spent three years at Owen’s Corning Automotive where most recently he was director of North American OEMs. He was also with Dow Automotive for twelve years where he held a number of positions.
New PPG OEM VP Replaces McGee
Joseph Stas, who has more than 25 years of experience at PPG Industries Inc., has been named the company’s vice president, automotive original-equipment-manufacturer glass.
He replaces Barry J. McGee, who retired after more than 34 years of service to the Pittsburgh, Pa., based glass manufacturer.
