As you may know, there are a number of urethane products on the market and most (if not all) have very specific designated uses. Most <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.glass.com\/auto\"   title=\"auto glass\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">auto glass<\/a> adhesives are urethane and two-part (base with accelerator). Urethanes have been popular and widely used for the manufacturing of insulating glass unit assemblies for years as well. There are also building sealants made of urethane and so forth and so on. So the selection of an appropriate urethane product is dependent on its intended application. I am not familiar with which types of urethanes would be based on a \u201csolvent or carbon platform\u201d nor do I think it matters much. The appropriate sealant for a given application can best be determined from the manufacturer\u2019s usage summary\/recommendation information. All of the decent urethane manufacturers have recommendation information readily available to help you select the appropriate urethane for your application. Check them out online.
